  • Overview: - Innovative AFO Designs - Explore innovative AFO designs and hear from experienced international orthotists that are successfully applying new AFO design techniques. *you must register using the link provided to attend* Presenters: - Michael Rexing – Germany Michael is a senior consultant in the orthopaedic department at the adViva group, one of the leading orthotic companies in Germany. Michael completed his highereducation as an orthotist/prosthetist (Meister-D) in 1994 and has worked in numerous university clinics. He specialises in paediatric, lower limb and spinal orthotic practice. Michael is a lecturer in several postgraduate and undergraduate courses in bothGermany and internationally and frequently provides lectures regarding lower limb orthoses for neuromuscular conditions. - Nicole Bennett – UK Nicole is a senior orthotist at Blatchford in the UK and graduated in 2005. Nicole has practised in both New Zealand and the UK and is now the lead orthotist atDMRC Headley Court; part of the complex trauma team responsible for providing a world class rehabilitation service to injured members of the armed forces. Nicole is an expert in the application of composite orthoses and advanced stance phase control KAFO systems.Nicole and her colleagues at Headley Court were the first to introduce the use of advanced lower-limb ankle-foot orthoses in the UK.
